Terms of service

Effective 2026-05-20.

1. What this is

LossNarrative is software-as-a-service that helps licensed insurance adjusters draft narrative reports from photos and voice memos. By signing up, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

2. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything done through your account. Don't share credentials, don't let someone use your account who isn't covered by your subscription tier.

3. Acceptable use

  • Use the service for legitimate adjuster work on claims you have authority to handle.
  • Don't upload content you don't have the right to upload (others' private photos, NDA-covered material you can't share with a processor, etc.).
  • Don't abuse the report-generation system — automated scraping, attempts to manipulate the generation pipeline into producing content unrelated to claims work, or anything similar. Obvious abuse means we end the subscription.
  • Don't use the service for anything illegal in your jurisdiction.

4. The adjuster is the author of record

Generated narratives are drafts. The licensed adjuster who reviews, edits, and signs the final report is its author of record and bears full professional responsibility for its content, accuracy, and compliance with carrier and state requirements — exactly as with a draft prepared by an assistant. Reports exported from LossNarrative include a disclosure that document-drafting software was used to assist in preparation; you agree not to remove or misrepresent that disclosure where a carrier, TPA, or regulator requires it. LossNarrative does not provide legal advice, coverage opinions, or settlement recommendations.

5. Billing

  • Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled.
  • Cancel anytime from the billing page or via Stripe's customer portal — your tier ends at the end of the current billing period; no prorated refunds.
  • Free tier is genuinely free, capped at 3 generated reports per calendar month. No credit card required.

6. Service availability

We aim for high uptime but don't guarantee a specific SLA. If we cause a meaningful outage, we'll credit you proportionally.

7. Termination

You can close your account anytime — see the privacy policyfor deletion. We can suspend an account that violates these terms; we'll email you first unless there's an active security or legal issue.

8. Liability cap

To the extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We're not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

9. Changes

We'll email you before any material change. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
